Enhancing Play
CE215 Enhancing Play Unit 6 Discussion Play is an importance piece of early learning. It is a way that children can learn to solve problems, work on critical thinking skills, and develop leadership skills. Pretending helps kids develop empathy for others, arouses their curiosity, and helps them develop creativity. The readings this week shared how children benefit from being outside. For this week’s Discussion, assume that you have been given an open outside area that is part of an early childhood setting and instructed to create a safe and developmentally appropriate outside area for children to play.

Hey, everyone!
This week’s readings were so intriguing for me I loved each and every bit and so is the discussion board topic. So, without any further ado, I would get into identifying the developmentally appropriate and growth promoting things I would do in the area I will be given to encourage play.
For this, firstly, I would ensure that I integrate the different forms of play into enhancing skills such as the cognitive development of the child. For this, pretend and play is a perfect way to improve the chid’s ability to think creatively, and as the child psychologist, Peter Gray, says that we can then get the child into more focused play where they increase the breadth of their thinking……………..
