For this Assignment, you and the members of your group will be creating a descriptive Power Point presentation of an early childhood environment that is developmentally appropriate for the age group your team has chosen (0-2, 2-3, or 3-4). You and your team members will work together to create a vision for your learning environment and will be using the information learned this term to create this Assignment.
As a group, you will use your team goals to respond to Slides 2-8, using supporting explanations and/or images (as appropriate) to show the early child environment that your team has created. The slides need to show continuity as you take your audience on a tour of the learning environment that you have created; therefore, be sure to complete any assigned slides in advance of the submission deadline, so that the group has ample time to review individual contributions and fine-tune the details for consistency. There should be a balance of graphics and written explanations. Additionally, please ensure all sources that team members used in their work are listed on the reference slide.
Using the Unit 9 Assignment Template, please include all of the following information:
Slide 1: Title of the presentation
- Provide a title for the presentation.
- Include the names of your group members, course information, and date.
Slide 2: Introduction
- Explain the primary factors your group considered as you developed a classroom environment where children and adults could communicate and learn together.
- Identify which of those factors considered were decided by the group to be the most important to address in your group’s learning environment?
- How are the basic tenets of DAP (age, cultural, and individual appropriateness) evident?
Slide 3: Diversity
- Share two specific additions in the environment your group has created that honor the diverse cultures of children.
Slide 4: Safety
- How is this classroom designed to promote safety?
- Identify and show two safety features.
Slide 5: Behavior
- Provide at least two examples of how the environment your group has created facilitates children’s positive behavior.
Slide 6: Physical Environment and DAP
- Explain and show how the group’s choice of colors, materials, and furnishings align with DAP standards. (Remember you have an environment inside and outside the early childhood setting.)
- Include why large-space areas, small-spaced areas, and one-on-one areas are needed and how they will be used in the learning environment your group has created.
Slide 7: Physical Environment and Learning Styles
- Explain and show how your group’s environment promotes learning for children who are dominant in one of the following learning styles: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or tactile. (Remember you have an environment inside and outside the early childhood setting.)
Slide 8: Team Collaboration
- As a team, review the content from Slides 2-7 and identify at least two features that the team feels best supported the factors identified in Slide 2.
- How did these features positively support the learning environment that was created?
Slide 9: References
- Please include at least two references in APA format.
- Your full references should be listed alphabetically on the reference page.

The professor will not share your peer evaluation feedback with others. However, you may choose to ask teammates to share their perceptions with you, so you can improve your team contribution.
