Throughout this course you have learned about many scientific discoveries and technologies. When you expand that to think of the discoveries and advances that have been made throughout history it is staggering. Just think of all the scientific discoveries and technological advances that have happened in your lifetime. It is often hard to predict how new technologies will impact society, but they change how we see and interact with our world. We have many new technologies and discoveries on the horizon that could have huge impacts on society. They include, cloning humans, discovering life on another planet, artificial intelligence, being able to edit our genes, big data, and human space travel just to name a few. Futurists spend their time thinking about what the future will be like. Here are some predictions for 2030:

How Scientific Discoveries and Technology Impact Society?
The futuristic discovery and/or technology I would like to witness in my lifetime is flying cars. I am not sure how far-fetched this may sound or be, and I have not heard much talk about flying cars. However, since the movie Total Recall, as an adolescent, I have always wanted to witness vehicles that were developed to fly. Travel traffic locally and beyond has become one of the most painful experiences today. The highways are cluttered, and backroads are just as congested at times for purposes of going around backed up highway traffic. However, there would need to be some form of directive as to who has the capability to use vehicles that fly, not as high as airplanes, but high enough to bypass traffic jams…………
