Employers dream of having more qualified applicants than they have open positions. As a future employer, you know that Purdue Global graduates make wonderful hires, so you’ve come to a graduation ceremony in Indianapolis in the hopes of finding just the right people for your organization.

Post 1: Initial Response

Imagine your business is expanding, and you need to hire people for a new location.

  • Identify at least three different positions required to make your business run smoothly.
  • You should have a minimum of three employees in each position. (For example, you might need three managers, six salespeople, and four office assistants.)

If there are twice as many equally qualified candidates available for each position as are actually needed, in how many different ways can you staff your new branch? Is this an example of a permutation or a combination, and why?

Unit 9 Discussion MM150 Survey of Mathematics Answer

As you all may know, I am expanding my business and am looking to hire more employees! So exciting! I am hoping to recruit some potential employees that have graduated from Purdue Global University! My business that I am expanding is a pet grooming shop, that also participates in boarding animals, as well as training pets. For this expansion I am going to need 5 groomers, 4 trainers, and 10 boarding/kennel workers. There are 11 potential groomers, 9 potential trainers, and 12 potential boarding/kennel workers.
