ENG 2230 Home in Jordan and Harjo Answer
When reviewing the selections for this week’s discussion and thinking about what is happening in the state I call “home,” I selected the Poem About My Rights by June Jordan and Erasure by Joy Harjo. These works both discuss different types of oppression that remind me of what is going on in my “home” state of Minnesota. In Erasure, Joy Harjo writes, “America does not have a story without us, yet we are often denied a place in the larger narrative” (1)…………
