Criminal justice has various roles, and in this case, the police officer responded to a call from a house that reported domestic violence. The attempt is to restore law and order; the use of the police program to enforce social order is the evidence in the case. In many cases, the officer’s main action is trying to calm the situation down, and if it proves impossible, they should make an arrest. It is a form of protecting the people and their resources; the response is the number one role of the criminal justice because it will check on the affected party and the problem, they need help with before proceeding or calling the other criminal justice bodies to action (Peak & Madensen, 2019). From the report collected from the crime scene, the authorities will take it to the next role of criminal justice. The role of the police officer is to arrest or detain people causing disorder in the communities and to pass them to relevant authorities.
