A group can be 3 or more individuals that come together for a number of reasons. There are support groups, safety groups, neighborhood groups, learning groups, and so many more. Some characteristics of a group are well cooperative members, diverse members, and open-minded individuals. Those who have open minds make it easier to come to common grounds and gain an understanding of others’ views. There can be a variety of those with like minds as well as opposing views, so having an open mind is very much ideal for group situations. People who come from different backgrounds are another characteristic of groups, and this is what brings diversity. A diverse group opens the opportunity for new knowledge and an expansion of ideas. With different backgrounds in place, there are lots to learn from. It is also important that you have members of a group that cooperate. Active members in a group make it easier to interact and bounce ideas. Someone who doesn’t participate can create division and discomfort making it difficult to have a successful outcome.
