Our textbook, Human Behavior in the Social Environment: A Multidimensional Perspective (2018) gives us the four levels of the ecosystem perspectives and the theory.

Ecosystem perspective is a term used to refers to the study of organisms and how they interact with the environments, for example, coral reef, human ecosystem plants, animals, soil organisms, and climatic conditions. The short answer is ecosystem is a community or group of living organisms that live in and interact with each other in a specific environment.
