Establishing a healthful work environment is crucial within the nursing domain, ensuring effective and efficient patient care delivery. Makic (2018) underscores the pivotal role of a healthy workplace in fostering positive outcomes, particularly in high-stress environments like healthcare. However, even in an ideal setting, instances of incivility can arise.
The observed incivility involved a heated argument between two nurses in the presence of patients, casting a negative shadow on my perception of the nursing profession. I firmly believe that nurses should epitomize professionalism and possess essential conflict management skills to uphold the integrity of patient care and maintain a harmonious workplace.
