One change I actively participated in was the implementation of electronic health records (EHRs) within our healthcare facility, necessitating a transition from traditional paper-based documentation to electronic systems. The change management approach employed for this transformation was based on Kurt Lewin’s theory of planned change.
This theory serves as a valuable framework for facilitating successful organizational changes by identifying the driving and restraining forces influencing behavior at individual, group, and organizational levels (Hussain, Lei, Akram, Haider, Hussain, & Ali, 2018).
