Identify one qualitative way that assessment and evaluation techniques could identify what went wrong and how to improve the program. You can focus on learners in either an academic setting or nurse professional development.

NR537 Week 1: Scholarly Discussion Answer

In every educational program, the attainment of learning outcomes by learners is a fundamental objective that signifies the program’s success. The assessment and evaluation of the program serve as crucial tools for determining whether these learning outcomes have been achieved (Oermann & Gaberson, 2017). In cases where there is dissatisfaction with the program’s outcomes, it becomes imperative to conduct comprehensive evaluations, encompassing both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, to identify areas that require improvement.

Quantitative evaluation techniques, characterized by their reliance on objective data, are instrumental in ascertaining the extent to which the learning outcomes have been realized. These methods provide a clear measure of the knowledge and skills acquired by the learners. In this context, two quantitative evaluation methods, namely quizzes and examination tests, are proposed for assessing the program’s effectiveness (Schumacher et al., 2019). The quizzes would consist of timed questions that encompass a diverse range of topics within the program. Learners would need to provide answers, and their scores would be indicative of their performance in these areas.
