Presentation to Parents About Cognitive Development Throughout the Stages
Units 5 and 6 have been devoted to understanding cognitive development in infancy/toddlerhood, childhood, and adolescence. For this Assignment, imagine that you have been asked to speak to a group of parents about cognitive development through the stages and you will complete a PowerPoint presentation. The purpose of the presentation is to provide an overview of cognitive development that can occur during infancy/toddlerhood, early childhood, middle childhood, and adolescence. Piagetian concepts and Information Processing concepts should be used to highlight cognitive attainments at each stage and ways adults can enhance children’s cognitive development should also be discussed. Presenter notes should be used to supplement the information on the slides.
