Connections Identification
The nonfiction essay by June Jordan titled “The Difficult Miracle of Black Poetry in America” is a story of perseverance and strength to bring out utilitarianism. When one follows the path of being utilitarian, they are focused on the majority good at all times in their actions. It covers the story of an African-American slave who became a great poet in the United States. Having been sold as a salve to Boston in 1761, Phillis Wheatley did not give up. In contrast, she chose resilience, strength, and commitment to a course. She became a great poet. She is a perfect example for the author of what someone should be to society. Anyone who gets the praise should have an overall positive influence on people around her. Wheatley’s impact in society transcended across generations and helped them build strength and resilience………
