Good morning all. I hope everyone is doing well while getting our final touches together. This week I listened to Stefon Harris: There Are No Mistakes on the Bandstand and Sarah Lewis: Embrace the near win. After having to listen to it twice because I was caught up in the melodies he played (I like Jazz). Once I listened the second time I had a better appreciation of his message. He points outs how in music – once a mistake is made, it can be corrected quickly by reacting appropriately to it and simply improvising to incorporate the mistake into the melody. To my ear, the mistake sounded like part of the music. Putting this in my own terms, it means that once we make mistakes, we need to react and respond appropriately…………..
