In April 2970, NASA launched the Apollo 13 manned space mission, which was charged with exploration of the lunar surface. On its way to the moon, the ship developed a malfunction that could have resulted in the death of all the crew members. The crew members worked with scientists in Houston to develop a plan to solve the problem.

Managing the spaceship and avoiding the disaster was a great and determined skill from the NASA team. They had to work together, be creative, and evaluate all the possible alternatives. The team decided to abort the mission after the oxygen tank had failed. The investment that had been made into sending the crew to lunar space was huge, and making it a consideration in place of the safety and lives of the crew members would have been an option. Nonetheless, the team decided to ensure lives were saved and safe landing for the Apollo 13, saving the lives of the members on board.
