Advertising to Children

Businesses only way to keep their place in a competitive market is through marketing. One of the most effective marketing strategies and technique is advertising. Businesses establish the persons to target with their marketing messages, a group that guarantees a high rate of return from the organization’s marketing efforts. One of the most vulnerable groups that have been targeted through marketing messages is children. Businesses have established that children influence a majority of household purchasing decisions. Therefore, if the child is convinced, they will in turn convince the spender on behalf of the business. This approach has received praise and backlash in equal measure. Business enthusiasts claim that it is a classic move to get the decisions going in their favor through the easiest route. However, advocates of morals and ethics believe that businesses marketing to children as it is mostly deceptive and unfair. Advertising to children cuts both ways, with as much support as it has criticism. Every end of the divide has justifications on why it is either a bad or a good approach by businesses………
